How do registrations work?
The first phase of the Sunrise Period will be expressively dedicated to sponsored members of the adult entertainment industry in possession of a registered trademark or of the corresponding domain name registered in other extensions. The next three phases will be dedicated to trademark owners (non members of this industry) who wish to register a .xxx domain for defensive purposes and to members of the industry who did not apply during the first phase. During some of these phases, multiple applications for the same domain name will be resolved via an auction, whereas in some others, the ‘first come, first served’ principle will apply.
